I personally would love to field a Harlequin army but can't see the Eldar fitting in well in game 1 unless they are DLC but if we are talking CA making 40K on par with Warhammer Fantasy then DLC is too weak to include the main races. I admit I feel like Orks should be in there but 40K Orks are a bit different from fantasy Orks and I'm not sure they could be done well with 4 other main races in the initial game.Įldar, nope- they are aesthetically cool models but they simply don't have the draw of the other races in lore, recognition, or empathic appeal of being humans overrun by monsters that Space Marines and especially the Imperial Guard have. Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Heretic Space Marines, and the big bads of Tyranids or Necrons seem fairly necessary for a game 1.
